Greetings from Baidoa University!
On behalf of Baidoa University faculty, administration, and staff, I welcome you to visit our website. Welcome to the oldest university in southwestern Somalia, the first university to be opened in southwest state of Somalia. Baidoa University was established on 10th October 2005 to meet the environmental needs of higher education, and the overall need for higher education in Somalia.
We are very happy to become acquainted with you and to help you succeed in your educational journey.
As the President of Baidoa University, it is my pleasure to share with you my vision of this institution. The University seeks for academic excellence in all of its academic programs. Our major strength lies in a strong team of highly qualified faculty and dedicated staff to deliver first class education.
The student is the most important person on our campus. We create opportunities and inspire students to achieve their goals. We recognize that in addition to our students’ academic pursuits, they lead full, rich lives and need our support. Yet, Baidoa University offers more than just a great learning experience. It broadens horizons and challenges assumptions.
Our goals and objectives are to provide world-class higher education services built on a solid and reliable academic foundation. BU is located on a safe, welcoming and beautiful campus in Baidoa, Southwest state of somalia. Our university has an excellent relationship with the community and with the entire southwest State government.
Baidoa University plans in the near future to introduce more undergraduate and graduate programs, centers and institutes, continuing education and technical programs, as well as to further develop and consolidate its research and services productivity, capacity, and culture.
I continue to have unshakable confidence that the success of these endeavors will be made possible by the deep commitment and tireless efforts of the remarkable people at Baidoa University.
